Of course, for those who consciously go to America to earn and spend all their money, for example, on education in Europe, or to save for future expenses in their hometown, travel is not on the list of mandatory things. But you should definitely visit at least a couple of states or at least cities. In the modern world, it is not that difficult. Everyone and everything is mobile. There are wonderful resources like couchsurfing that allow you to live for a short number of days as a guest of a resident of a city ABSOLUTELY FREE. Kind and open people are always ready to host students, tell them about their city, and ask about your traditions. This is a huge cultural exchange that, unfortunately or fortunately, you cannot buy with money. This is what it means to immerse yourself in the culture of a country: to see how the locals live. Undoubtedly, this summer changed my consciousness incredibly! This was especially noticeable when, at the end of the summer, we took a tour of the West Coast together with dozens of other guys. They were all interesting in their own way, and most importantly, we were all united by one common feeling of unity and cohesion. We were able to spend almost half a year in a foreign country, we did not back down in the face of difficulties, and now we are getting our well-deserved rest. Ksyusha and I are still in touch with many of the guys, thanks to the huge number of wonderful social networks that allow us to stay in touch from a distance. Honestly, I miss those emotions, people, and the atmosphere incredibly much. I am so drawn back. After all, you cannot get a complete picture of this colorful, incredibly diverse country in one trip. As for travel, we traveled everywhere possible; you can see all this in my VKontakte group https://vk.com/roza_trust, where I posted and continue to post my videos about how we traveled almost all of America. It all started within the state of Virginia, but the vastness of this state was not enough for us, and we flew to the West Coast: Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and their suburbs. Then we decided to bask in the white sand of sunny Miami Beach. And like standard J-1 students, we spent our last days in America in a huge metropolis that many confuse with the capital of America, New York. And now, looking back at my summer of 2015, I cannot believe that I, a small student from Moscow, was able to, I am not afraid to say this, conquer America! And if I am asked what I would trade my trip for, my answer will be unambiguous: "I would never, for anything in the world, trade such an experience for anything!" This is something unique, unrepeatable, something that radically changes consciousness, breaking the system of stereotypes, revealing all your best qualities, which increase exponentially every day. A friend suggested we talk about our future. I spent half an hour rambling about lasers, chips, and force fields. If, until recently, people went to libraries and studied books for knowledge and data, and now everything can just be Googled, then in 2039, I think people will have microchips installed in their heads to download any information. It will be much more convenient, don't you agree? Let me say right now: there will be no wars in 2039! Globalization will reach such a level that political disputes and disagreements will vanish; society will become absolutely tolerant and rational. The gap between developed countries and third-world countries will evaporate. Society will reach such a level of awareness that it will realize that energy, money, and resources should not be spent on killing, but on trying to make the world kind and perfect. Lasers, nuclear fission, and chemical developments will not be sophisticated weapons, but a way to simplify human life… A whale swims around a female and says reproachfully: — So many countries, hundreds of environmental organizations, prominent political leaders, millions of people — they are all fighting for our species to survive, and you tell me you have a headache… As for ecology, this issue is already being brought to a head: “What to do about the greenhouse effect, which is melting glaciers and causing sunlight to burn all living things?
