Above the portal, an elevated stone tribune functioned as the official viewing platform for state leaders reviewing military parades.

Pathologist Alexei Abrikosov handled the initial preservation before Boris Zbarsky and Vladimir Vorobiev took over ongoing biological maintenance of the remains.
