A former Jesuit college in Prague houses the National Library of the Czech Republic and extensive historical collections.

Founded on the site of a medieval monastery damaged during the Hussite conflicts, the complex expanded into a vast Jesuit college that eventually absorbed the Charles University book collections. The resulting compound ranks among the largest architectural grounds in Prague, surpassed in physical footprint only by Prague Castle.
