Bhubing Palace: ce qu’il y a autour, comment y aller et quand venir · 2026

Bhubing Palace closes to the public whenever the royal family takes up seasonal residence, so long-term visitors must track court movements before climbing Doi Buak Ha for the cool mountain air.

À propos du lieu
À propos du lieu

Bhubing Palace remains a working royal sanctuary high in the Doi Buak Ha mountains.

The estate occupies Doi Buak Ha to take advantage of the cool mountain air above Chiang Mai. Master planner Prince Samaichalerm Kridagara laid out the grounds in the central Thai ruean mu style, grouping buildings upon elevated stilts. Mom Rachawongse Mitrarun Kasemsri designed the main residence, placing private royal rooms on the upper level and quarters for the royal entourage across the open ground floor.

The Crown Property Bureau built the estate alongside Pradit Yuwapukka to host royal state visits and foreign dignitaries, receiving King Frederik and Queen Ingrid of Denmark. Beyond the state guesthouse, grounds feature the Suan Suwaree rose garden, which cultivates temperate plants rarely found across the kingdom. Public access stops entirely whenever the royal family stays on Doi Buak Ha for seasonal residence.
