Welcome to my blog, dear reader. Today I received my visa and finally decided to start blogging (I've wanted to for a long time). I'll get back to the visa later. So... I want to give a heads-up... in this blog, I'll be writing about... well, I'll be writing about everything and everyone, everything related to my trip to the USA. I think and hope you'll find it interesting and pick up a lot of useful information about the trip and about me and my life in general, and maybe you'll even draw some life conclusions for yourself, like what you should and shouldn't do and how to do it. If you are under 18 and/or don't like profanity (and I think it will be in my stories, as you can't do without it sometimes, and it's impossible to convey the beauty of events without it), then you'd better close this blog and go do something else. If you're cool with it, then let's keep reading, following the events, and of course, reacting (meaning commenting). Also, I think to understand me and my future actions described in this blog a little bit, it would be interesting for you to know a little about me... so let's start... I'm 21 years old. I was born and raised in the glorious city of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan (heard about revolutions and marauding Indians? Well, that's where I'm from))). For the last 5 years, I've been living in Moscow because I'm studying here at an academy in the Faculty of International Economic Relations. I am fluent in Russian, English, Kyrgyz, Turkish, and a little French. As for hobbies and interests: I love motorcycles, cars, and all related things like tuning, etc., but I still consider motorcycles my main hobby. I love traveling, especially behind the wheel. I do judo, go skiing, and generally love active recreation. Also, due to my specialty, I am interested in economics and law (I read all sorts of smart books and magazines) and, of course, fun parties, drinking, hanging out, etc., which are not alien to normal guys. Well, I think we've met now..))

Bishkek operates on broad Soviet avenues, sprawling open-air wholesale hubs, and very inexpensive mobile data.
Bishkek is the capital and financial center of Kyrgyzstan, housing every domestic commercial bank alongside massive trade hubs like Dordoy Bazaar. Former state industrial complexes have shrunk, while roadside commerce, fresh farm produce stands, and modern retail venues fill the core grid. Life here mixes Soviet street planning with Central Asian markets.

Getting around relies heavily on crowded marshrutka minibuses and local buses, as city trolleybuses ceased operation. Rail connections link outward to regional hubs very slowly, while Manas International Airport connects the capital abroad. Commuters rely on mapping tools like the 2GIS application to navigate bus routes and hail metered cabs across districts.
New arrivals will notice that unlit sidewalks often conceal open ditches and missing iron utility grates. Crowded bazaars such as Osh Bazaar demand caution against bag slashers and pickpockets. Daily living expenses stay low, provided you buy local SIM cards in official shops rather than overpriced airport kiosks or unregulated bazaar counters.

How can I travel from Manas International Airport to central Bishkek?
Buses and minibuses operate between the airport and the capital. Public bus line one hundred fifty-three accepts bank cards and terminates in the southern districts. Passengers can also arrange private taxis or pre-booked airport transfers directly from the arrivals terminal.
Source : Wikivoyage · Manas Taxi — Official Manas Airport Taxi Service | Bishkek, KyrgyzstanWhat public transportation options operate inside Bishkek?
Urban routes rely on municipal buses and private minibuses known locally as marshrutkas. Minibuses stop upon passenger request along their routes, while standard buses adhere to fixed stops. Ride-hailing services and street taxis operate throughout the city as well.
Source : Wikipedia · WikivoyageWhere can visitors purchase and register a local SIM card?
Official carrier retail stores cluster around major avenues, shopping malls, and central squares. Bringing a passport is legally required to complete identity registration and activate the line. Avoid buying informal pre-registered cards from street markets because telecom regulators routinely disconnect them.
