关于此地
Canberra Airport links the national capital to eastern domestic hubs while anchoring surrounding business estates.
Built on an early airstrip in the Majura district, the grounds developed alongside the federal capital before coming under military control during wartime. The eastern sector took the name of Fairbairn following a fatal crash that claimed several federal ministers. Although the precinct later transferred to private management on a long lease, defence aviators continue to operate transport squadrons from the grounds.

Beyond passenger terminals, the surrounding land supports extensive commercial office parks that generate heavy peak traffic across the Majura Parkway and arterial connections. Commuters heading toward Queanbeyan or the city centre face regular bottlenecks at road junctions. Local public buses link the passenger concourse to the central interchange, while enclosed taxi queues shield travellers from severe weather.
