Needless to say, I checked my page here every day, hoping that today, finally, I would be given an interview date... It all happened suddenly... As usual, after opening the page, I scrolled down to "Interview Date" and there it was, the cherished 10.05.2011. Of course, it was a bit late, considering my manager had been waiting for me since May 15th! And so we gathered in front of our CMO office. The bus was already waiting for us. Everyone's faces were joyful and glowing with hope! It was fresh, and a little sad that we were leaving the city while all the Cheboksary residents were celebrating May 9th! At 4 a.m., I woke up because the bus had stopped. I was sitting with my friend right behind the drivers. Opening my eyes, I saw the building I had looked at on Google about ten times, with the US flag! The Embassy! So that's what it really looks like=) Our coordinator explained how to behave, what to do, and the most pressing question - where one could "commune with nature." Some girls rushed to tidy themselves up, and I was no exception. A little later, we found out that this time we were going first. Absolutely first! That was already a good start! We were lined up, given badges, and our internal passports were taken. Then, in the same order, we stood in front of the embassy, where an unsmiling uncle policeman let everyone into the building, checking our faces against our passports beforehand. We passed through the metal detector and sat in a small hall where we were given our DS-2019 forms, passports, and pamphlets about wanted students. Nearby were restrooms and vending machines with food and drinks. There was also a small children's playground. After some time, we went to give our fingerprints: first the left four fingers, then the right, and then the thumbs. There were only two windows. And after that, the most exciting part began: we went up a small staircase, passing a gray-haired officer - a typical American, as it seemed to me) Going up the stairs, you can turn left, where windows 1 through 8 are located, and right - 9 through 14. We had to go right. There was also a small waiting room and a plasma TV. Also a place for the queue. The first to open was window 13, where a girl with light brown hair was sitting. The first guy headed there. As it seemed to me, he had very good English. BUT - a refusal. There were many refusals. That notorious Adam Heller was sitting in window 14 this time. And I think you understand who exactly I ended up with! By the way, the isolated window 9 didn't open at all while we were there. Adam refused, I think, to 4 people before me, if I'm not mistaken. Two friends - Yana and Olya. They had an offer for the same place. The girls were smiley and funny. But the consul had his own opinion on that! While still in line, I recognized Adam from descriptions on forums: a tall, handsome man, starting to go bald. I must say, I really didn't want to go to him. But after he refused Yana, I had no choice, and I resolutely went to him. It all started with me hanging my raincoat on the hanger to the left of the window and giving him my documents. I missed the moment, and in the end, we greeted each other at the same time: Me – Hello! How are you doing? He – Good morning! How are you? Here I had a stupor, I stared at him, smiled with what I thought was a charming smile, and said: - Fine! And you? He mumbled something in response, I didn't catch it, and started clicking the mouse and keyboard intensely! I looked at him and kept smiling. After a few seconds, he handed me a pamphlet about temporary work: - Have you read it? Here I noticed his hands and a silver ring. A sign that he is engaged. Me – Yes, I read (I pronounced it as [ri:d] and decided to correct myself) Oh, I read it! [red] He continued: - Do you have any questions? Me - No, I have no questions. He - Do you understand the information? Me - Yes. Of course! (and here I made a bad joke) because it’s in Russian. The consul looked at me carefully for the
