Base your daily routine around the Paveletsky terminal to secure fast connections across the southern rail routes while managing relentless commuter foot traffic.
Alexander Krasovsky designed the original terminal under the Ryazano–Uralskaya Railway Company to link Moscow to the southeastern network. The station originally carried the name Saratovsky before taking its current title from the settlement of Pavelets. Extensive structural expansion later rebuilt the halls while maintaining the historical silhouette.
The modern complex conceals multiple passenger levels and extensive technical service infrastructure behind a low exterior skyline facing the square. Adjacent terminal facilities house the Museum of the Moscow Railway, which preserves the historic funeral train engine that brought Vladimir Lenin back to the capital for public mourning.
