A supertall glass landmark reshaping the skyline of Lakeshore East.

The St. Regis Chicago stands in the Lakeshore East district as a supertall multi-use skyscraper designed by Jeanne Gang and Studio Gang Architects. The tower ranks behind Willis Tower and Trump International Hotel and Tower, making it the tallest building planned by a woman. High lakefront winds required structural revisions during construction, forcing engineers to turn a full residential floor into an open mechanical gap.

Magellan purchased the remaining interest during a period of slowed sales, while condominium buyers filed lawsuits over ownership changes and contract surcharges.
