Morningside Heights shelters New York's oldest university, shaped by colonial roots and urban shifts.

King's College began under a royal charter from George II on Trinity Church property before the American Revolution intervened. Armed conflict forced instruction to halt entirely while military units commandeered the main building for hospital wards. Following the British evacuation, state lawmakers renamed the school to affirm loyalty to the fledgling republic.

Ամենազարմանալին այն է, որ մենք օրը սկսեցինք Columbia University-ում, իսկ ավարտեցինք Թայմս Սքվերում, որտեղ հանդիպեցինք ՆՈՒՅՆ համալսարանի մագիստրանտի։ Հետո պարզեցինք, որ նա ավարտել է ՆՈՒՅՆ համալսարանը, որտեղ ես հիմա սովորում եմ՝ MNU/KAZGUU: (Սա առաջին ղազախն էր, որին հանդիպեցի ԱՄՆ-ում այստեղ գտնվելուս երեք ամիսների ընթացքում😹) Տունդարձի ճանապարհին գնացքում հիշեցի ևս մեկ ուսանողի, որի հետ ընկերներիս հետ ծանոթացել էինք «Բալթիկ ծովի ծովահենները» նավարկության ժամանակ։ Նա իր երկրորդ մագիստրատուրան է սովորում Ֆինլանդիայում։ Բոստոնում նույնպես կան երկու ղազախ աղջիկներ NIS Shymkent-ից, երկուսի անունն էլ Ասել է. մեկն ավարտել է Yale University-ն և այժմ աշխատում է Harvard-ում, մյուսը նոր է սկսել մագիստրատուրան այնտեղ։ ——— Նման պատմությունները անհավանականորեն ոգեշնչում են ինձ։ Լսում ես նրանց պատմությունները, և գլխումդ անմիջապես միտք է ծագում. «Իսկ ի՞նչ է, այդպես էլ կարելի՞ էր»: Հետաքրքիր է, որ այդ մարդիկ նույնիսկ չեն էլ կասկածում դրա մասին) Շնորհակալություն, դուք լավագույնն եք!!!
