Sculptor Marshall Wood designed the bronze monument, which Holbrook and Company cast in Chelsea. University students from McGill established a recurring procession to Victoria Square to deposit wreaths in commemorative ceremonies. The bronze figure stands alongside another civic memorial, anchored in a transit district where newcomers coordinate shared stays.
