关于此地
A medieval Benedictine abbey preserves quiet monastic discipline within central Prague.
Emmaus Monastery operates as a Benedictine abbey in Prague, maintaining an ecclesiastical enclave within the city. Established during the Middle Ages, the abbey introduced traditional monastic administration to the district. The institution maintains the contemplative structure demanded by Benedictine rule. This continuity means the grounds impose strict quiet hours, restricting noisy commercial activity around the site.

Known historically as Na Slovanech, the abbey carries an older title from the Middle Ages that still defines the location for Prague residents. Living near the site requires adjusting to an urban environment planned around medieval monastic boundaries. Secular services remain separate from the cloister, and daily access to the interior follows Benedictine regulations rather than ordinary public park schedules.
