About the place

Union Bank Plaza anchors commercial development on Bunker Hill with an elevated modernist office tower and open courtyard.

Architectural collaboration by Harrison & Abramovitz with A.C. Martin & Associates created this skyscraper as the initial high-rise project of the Bunker Hill redevelopment. The complex introduced large-scale corporate construction to downtown after civic height limits were repealed. Landscape architect Garrett Eckbo designed the modernist outdoor plaza over the parking garage, creating public landscaped space above street level.
