Today, long-term campers manage their own survival through solar panels, portable fuel generators, and water tanks hauled in from nearby desert settlements.

Daily routines revolve around deep self-reliance and harsh desert exposure. The settlement has no municipal trash collection, piped water, or grid electricity, which forces residents to run communal dispensaries and manage open-air sites independently. Public gatherings concentrate at The Range for weekly live music shows and East Jesus, an evolving open-air compound built entirely from salvaged scrap.
