Estádio do Pacaembu operates in the Pacaembu neighbourhood under the ownership of the Municipal Prefecture of São Paulo. Known under sponsorship naming as Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu, the ground historically served as the primary match venue for Corinthians before their modern arena opened, as well as an interim home for Palmeiras.

Extensive redevelopment modernized the municipal facility through the demolition of the south stand and the construction of a multi-story complex. Beyond hosting domestic league matches and tournament finals, the stadium has staged apostolic youth gatherings led by Pope Benedict alongside international television productions.
