After hanging out in Miami nightlife on Miami Beach (if you love clubs, this is the place for you=), we decided to head to Orlando. Around 3 AM, the car started making an unpleasant rattling noise and slowed down from 150 to 40. Motor mount, we thought (a part in the car that we were told was acting up), and kept driving. The car stubbornly resisted. Surprised by such stubbornness, we stopped at a gas station and called a mechanic. He said over the phone that he was just heading to the gas station for beer and would be there soon.) When he arrived, we asked, "Is it the motor mount?" He said, "Yeah, nothing serious," and left. So we flew the remaining 120 km to Orlando at 80 km/h (believe me, for the state the car was in, that was flying=). When I walked out of the hotel in the morning, I couldn't believe my eyes. The car had no tires... There was a web of melted rubber, holes the size of two fists, but you couldn't call THEM tires... It was now driving at 4 km/h, no more. I made it to the first repair shop (oh, thank you, great navigator!!!). They said we should celebrate our second birthday. Laughing nervously, I went home, leaving the car to the pros. The shop turned out to be cool. After that, I realized it's better to pay good guys once than cheap ones three times (which is what we did in Myrtle). Life is especially valued in such moments.))) Anyway, it was already past noon, so we decided to postpone Disney until tomorrow, and for now - our native St. Petersburg, Florida!!) Our route went through Tampa - nothing special, just like Orlando itself. We took a photo by the sign for St. Pete and kept going. Now, the local city on the Neva is a different story. Well-maintained, with unusual buildings, yachts, views of the blue sea, etc. The Dali Museum is located here. About 50-60 original works are exhibited in cozy halls (including the first one where the melting clocks appeared). It's useless to describe his work. Those who like it will appreciate it, those who don't - well, they won't) But the museum is cool, unobtrusive, with good tour guides and the ability to look at paintings from a distance of 2 cm. The guy had a universal imagination, what can I say... You can also send a free e-mail postcard with Dali's paintings to any address right there. Cool.. Then we head to the beach. We make it half an hour before sunset, just in time to see it off. The beach stretches exactly from north to south, so you won't find a better place. By the way, I haven't seen a better sunset in a long time either. The sun is slowly setting somewhere behind Mexico and Texas. Soon we will be somewhere there too.. The Gulf of Mexico is very warm, despite the twilight. We swim and head back. The car drives well. No wonder - $1000 for a full repair with replacement of old parts)) But these are trifles - because tomorrow is a return to childhood - Disney!!!
