AMERICAN DREAM OF KAZAKH GIRL

AMERICAN DREAM OF KAZAKH GIRL Hey there! Hope you are having a beautiful day! If you’re not, I bet you, this essay will cheer you up! I am Alua, a little dreamy girl from small town in Kazakhstan and also bold woman who is getting all her dreams come true. I’ve been living in Earth Planet for almost 18 years by now. In this essay I would like to share my own story about a small and funny trip and my fare thoughts about everything! How the things got started When I was at elementary school my relatives used to travel all over the world, they have seen the oceans, seas and mountains. 11 year old me was so interested in it and asked my parents to see the lake. I couldn’t ask for anything else. And my parents couldn’t afford anything better, because they were literally broke. When the summer came my parents told me that we’re going to Issyk kul . That’s a mesmerising lake located in Kyrgyzstan . So that was my first time when I was on cloud nine and felt like a cool girl from Vogue who is travelling to “foreign” countries. We were group of 6 people and used to live in yurt with other travellers for almost 14 days. I was browsing so many stores with my mom without buying anything and we were hanging around enjoying the local food and city. In the evenings we were swimming in the lake and just appreciating the sparkling water. Once upon a time, in early morning, I thought about going to the lake without my phone. I grabbed my book, hat and sheet to relax and chill out on the coast. After 2 hours of having a rest I was thinking about getting back to the yurt to eat my breakfast. But I forgot the way back:) I was stressed as hell, walking around big coast just to find my parents , but they didn’t appear. I didn’t remember the name of the street, or the yurt number. But I found the best way how to find my parents. Nah, I wasn’t waiting for them on the coast, anyway I entered all yurts and asked if there were my siblings or parents. Finally, I could find them by their flip-flops after 2 hours of searching! And you guess what?! I met a bunch of lifeguards who were searching for me too, cause my family thought I got drowned. In the end I got a big slap from my mom. It all might sound ridiculous, but actually I was living the best part of my childhood and I was definitely the happiest person in the world. Why I decided to participate in Work and Travel program? When I was studying at 2nd grade of elementary school I was lucky to have a teacher who was smart, very kind and soft to kids. By the way, my teacher was from America and she had a spectacular american accent. She taught us how to sing the alphabet like “A-B-C-D-E-F-G”… I sang it with her and she was teaching us for some basic words in English, but I could not understand the single word. Can you imagine?! American girl who speaks only English and does not understand kazakh or russian and kids who don’t know her language, holy crap! Anyway, I was having fun and enjoying my English classes. I remember that I was dreaming how I will speak English fluent and teach it to others. It turned out that I got my IELTS certificate and got a job as an English Teacher and now I have so many lovely students, that’s what I am passionate about! At high school I found the page of blogger Marina Mogilko and discovered such a stunning city San-Francisco and that became my dream city. 50 states of America seem like a dream and my future destination for summer of 2023. Endless opportunities, feeling of self-confidence, ambitions and business streak are all about America! I’ve been carrying that dream for 7 years and I hope I will reach all my goals related to the United States through Work and Travel program. How can I help my country to grow by participating in W&T program? The thing is that Exchange program students give a great influence on local students. I think this statement is pretty understandable for well-educated people, cause they know the importance of diversity. To have a society where all

Workdays and unreal days off)

Oh... Wildwood... :)) I just want to sing songs to this wonderful city that gave us amazing memories. Now, in winter, I especially often remember those sunny days and I really want to go to the ocean) By mid-June, we started working on our offer while looking for a second job. The second place turned out to be a bakery. Yes, yes, those very donuts... aaa... it's just lovely. We worked there on weekends because, I repeat, the season was just beginning. My friend stayed to work full-time, and I found a job at a pizzeria. So, to manage to make all the donuts, cinnamon buns, sticky buns, muffins, and other goodies, my friend started working at 4-5 AM. We almost didn't see each other because I would come home after two jobs at 11 PM when she was already asleep, and she would leave when I was sleeping) By July, when the town was filled with tourists (the Americans themselves), the harsh working days began. Everyone was busy at work, so there was no time to lounge on the beach. But... work is work, but you also need to have fun)) It all started with my birthday. For the first time, I celebrated it so far from home. My guys woke me up at five in the morning with a bouquet of roses, balloons, and a huge cake with candles. So nice :))))))))))) A few days later, fellow countrymen from New York arrived. And as a gift, they brought tickets to the Six Flags amusement park ^) Real roller coasters...!!! Watching the videos here at home, I experience the same emotions again, or rather: "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!". Haha. During all this time, each of us managed to make a bunch of acquaintances from different cities of Russia and other countries. In general, the program gives an incredible chance to meet people from all over the world... For example, my friends became guys from Serbia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Egypt, Romania, Turkey, Slovakia, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan. And I am incredibly happy about this. And of course, friends from Yekaterinburg, Ufa, and Penza were added. Speaking of Penza. I met Nastya at work at the hotel, and she was the one who invited me to the Russian Party, which was held every Thursday at the local club, the Deck. That's how our party August began. Of course, no one forgot about work! :) Gradually, we started going out to Atlantic City, which is an hour's drive from Wildwood) Atlantic City is a smaller copy of Las Vegas. The second gambling center of the USA. But I wasn't interested in casinos, but shopping... Heaps of brand-name stores and eyes running wild) I think the girls will understand me. Although our guys didn't lag behind either :) Also in August, I started to realize that in 1.5 months it would be time to return home. Therefore, we tried to live every day to the fullest :))) All this time we lived as a friendly Buryat family. The most important thing is that when you come home from work, tired and exhausted, and see the faces of your guys, who also weren't lounging on the beach, it gets better. Especially when they greet you with a delicious dinner and cheerful chatter about how the day went :)) A huge THANK YOU to them for this! :)))))) p.s. While working, don't forget about parties :) Meet people, smile, have a blast. Such a summer is a gift)

Introduction to... (must read)

Welcome to my blog, dear reader. Today I received my visa and finally decided to start blogging (I've wanted to for a long time). I'll get back to the visa later. So... I want to give a heads-up... in this blog, I'll be writing about... well, I'll be writing about everything and everyone, everything related to my trip to the USA. I think and hope you'll find it interesting and pick up a lot of useful information about the trip and about me and my life in general, and maybe you'll even draw some life conclusions for yourself, like what you should and shouldn't do and how to do it. If you are under 18 and/or don't like profanity (and I think it will be in my stories, as you can't do without it sometimes, and it's impossible to convey the beauty of events without it), then you'd better close this blog and go do something else. If you're cool with it, then let's keep reading, following the events, and of course, reacting (meaning commenting). Also, I think to understand me and my future actions described in this blog a little bit, it would be interesting for you to know a little about me... so let's start... I'm 21 years old. I was born and raised in the glorious city of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan (heard about revolutions and marauding Indians? Well, that's where I'm from))). For the last 5 years, I've been living in Moscow because I'm studying here at an academy in the Faculty of International Economic Relations. I am fluent in Russian, English, Kyrgyz, Turkish, and a little French. As for hobbies and interests: I love motorcycles, cars, and all related things like tuning, etc., but I still consider motorcycles my main hobby. I love traveling, especially behind the wheel. I do judo, go skiing, and generally love active recreation. Also, due to my specialty, I am interested in economics and law (I read all sorts of smart books and magazines) and, of course, fun parties, drinking, hanging out, etc., which are not alien to normal guys. Well, I think we've met now..))

If everything is on topic, then continue reading, follow the events and of course react ( meaning comment) Also I think that in order to at least somewhat understand me and my future actions described in this blog it will be interesting for you to learn a little about me... and so let's get started...
