About the place

The multi-purpose pavilion stands inside the Casa de Campo fairgrounds as a dedicated venue for athletics, trade fairs and concerts.

Estudio Cano Lasso designed the pavilion on the site of the former Rocódromo inside the Casa de Campo fairgrounds. Built to accommodate athletic competitions, commercial exhibitions and cultural gatherings, the venue operated under the alternate name Telefónica Arena through commercial sponsorship. The indoor arena hosts regular gymnastics meets, corporate conventions and touring performances minutes from the urban center.

Long-term residents in the surrounding districts experience the park complex as both quiet parkland and a sudden bottleneck on event days. Access relies on the metro network through Lago station near the lake and Alto de Extremadura station to the south. While travel to central Madrid requires only brief transit rides, peak evening crowds regularly saturate platform gates and fill the adjoining park pathways.
