About the place

Kiyevsky station anchors the Dorogomilovo riverfront as an active passenger gateway and a landmark of early twentieth-century engineering.

Originally established as Bryansk station, the terminal stands at Eurasia Square at the start of Bolshaya Dorogomilovskaya Street. Ivan Rerberg and Vladimir Shukhov designed the complex in the Byzantine Revival style, incorporating a prominent clocktower. It remains the only railway station in the capital with direct frontage on the Moskva River, placing a busy commuter terminus directly along the central embankment.

A massive glazed parabolic train shed flanks the main terminal building, arching over the railway platforms with visible open-work steel trusses. Beyond the regional tracks, an adjacent Moscow Metro hub connects the terminal directly to multiple subway lines. Long-term residents in Dorogomilovo rely on this underground concourse for rapid urban transit, navigating constant commuter transfers beneath the historic vault.
