About the place

The Black Sea waterfront features the historic landmark in Constanța.

The coastal promenade developed following the integration of Northern Dobruja, beginning with a wooden spa hall built near the Genoese Lighthouse. Designed with stepped terraces over the shoreline, the early structure provided complete views of the cliff, harbor, and open sea. It housed reading rooms, games salons, and a ballroom, before storm damage prompted local authorities to clear the plot for permanent development.
