The tower functions as a dedicated residential skyscraper in Downtown Austin, standing among the city's tallest structures alongside The Independent. Construction crews built the tower past the height of Frost Bank Tower to establish its place on the skyline. Austin Energy Green Building awarded the property an environmental rating, making it a recognized downtown residential high-rise with local green standards.

Before private occupants moved into the tower, the property opened to the public for the Women's Symphony League Designer Showhouse. Daily living later revealed serious structural issues when concrete spalls dropped from exterior balconies. Water penetrated the internal steel rebar because builders installed the reinforcement too near the edge of concrete slabs, requiring comprehensive remedial construction on the facade.
