The Hall of Supreme Harmony anchors the Forbidden City as the primary ceremonial structure of imperial Beijing.

The Hall of Supreme Harmony stands as the largest hall inside the Forbidden City, positioned on the central palace axis behind the Gate of Supreme Harmony. Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties gathered the court here for solemn enthronements and wedding ceremonies. Heavy bronze incense burners surround the perimeter, emphasizing its primary ceremonial status across successive imperial dynasties.
