EG LNG operates the primary liquefied natural gas terminal on Bioko Island.

EG LNG runs a dedicated liquefied natural gas production plant and maritime export terminal on Bioko Island. The facility handles natural gas processing and liquefaction right outside Malabo, anchoring heavy industrial energy exports for the capital. Commercial shipments depart by sea via specialized gas tankers, making the complex a specialized maritime energy hub rather than an accessible urban installation.

Personnel relocating to Malabo for the energy terminal experience strict perimeter protocols and high-security work zones that separate industrial staff from everyday municipal life. Plant operations run continuously, requiring rotational personnel to adapt to rigorous safety standards, offshore supply logistics, and controlled access regimes that define long-term employment on the island.
