Informazioni sul luogo

Shibuya retail revolves around commercial department stores that shape the daily rhythm of the surrounding neighborhood.

The commercial department store operates as a prominent retail landmark in the Shibuya district of Tokyo. The facility focuses on fashion apparel and retail consumer goods, generating heavy pedestrian foot traffic across the surrounding avenues. Newcomers residing nearby face continuous commercial crowds and street noise rather than quiet residential surroundings during their daily routines.

Living near this commercial center requires adjusting daily schedules to local business hours on Tokyo time. The surrounding commercial sector lacks standard residential conveniences, forcing extended residents to look outward for everyday household needs. BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS

BOSTON Boston struck me with its resemblance to England in the smallest details. This city is amazing in how it harmoniously combines old buildings, churches, and cathedrals with centuries of history alongside modern glass buildings and offices. Boston possesses its own unique charm, its own atmosphere, and an inexplicable energy emanating from the ancient buildings of the 17th and 18th centuries. The capital of Massachusetts is not as noisy or crowded as New York or Chicago, but it is definitely full of life: interesting, mysterious, and filled with the secrets of past centuries. Must-visit places in Boston (with addresses): Boston Common Park (139 Tremont St, Boston) Charles River Esplanade — an incredibly picturesque place in Boston, offering a panoramic view of the city (Charles River Esplanade, Boston, MA 02116) Old North Church (193 Salem St, Boston, MA 02113) Trinity Church (206 Clarendon St, Boston, MA 02116) Boston Public Library (700 Boylston St, Boston, MA 02116) Massachusetts State House (24 Beacon St, Boston, MA 02133) Old State House (206 Washington St, Boston, MA 02109) Quincy Market. The pavilion houses shops, market stalls, eateries, and souvenir shops. You can often see street performers and musicians here (4 S Market St, Boston, MA 02109) Granary Burying Ground — an old city cemetery founded in 1660. It contains the graves of famous figures of the American Revolution, including the graves of S. Adams, J. Hancock, and R. T. Paine (Tremont St, Boston, MA 02108)

Hooray! Hooray!

A miracle happened today and I found a job! Well, I haven't been hired yet, but... three days of internship (just three days!), a menu knowledge test, and hooray, I'm a happy worker-to-be) It's my first time working as a waiter. It's scary, of course. The manager warned me right away that it would be tough! The restaurant is big and popular. My internship starts in an hour and a half. Phew! Wish me luck)) Oh, and they also asked me to buy a uniform for work. Black trousers, black shoes, a white shirt. And what do you think? Besides all that, I also bought a white undershirt to wear under the shirt and spent 1096 rubles! Wow. By the way, the African currency is called the RAND. One rand is about 3.8 rubles. There you go!

How it actually happens

While the city was sleeping... ...my older brother drove me through the empty Garden Ring at 6 a.m. to the embassy. He dropped me off and left with his family for church. They put a sticker with a serial number on me and about 500 other students and lined us up. It was all like a pioneer camp (hmm... although I've never been to one, it was exactly like that). We weren't allowed to bring anything except documents: no bags, no cell phones, no money, no belts, and not even watches. They checked for weapons, drugs, and nail files. They took our fingerprints, told us to smile, and gave us the visa. And I, freezing under the April snow with my damp documents, ran to the Last Supper memorial service. By 12, I was already home, and while the city was working, I was sleeping. All that's left is to finish my exams, get my driver's license, and find the song I'll listen to while flying to the United States of America. My dialogue with the consul on April 16, 2009: -Good Morning. -Good Morning. (I smiled as advised by the IEC, although after 1.5 hours in the cold and considering I woke up at 5 a.m. and was terribly nervous, I didn't really feel like smiling) -What's your name? -Anastasia M -I know you've been in USA before. -Yes. I've been. -Did you come before as an exchange participant? -No. I've just (here I stumbled and said the following) vised. -You mean you visited the United States as a tourist. -Yes. As a tourist. -Where have you been in USA? -VA -Why VA? -Because I have relatives there. Uncle and Aunt. -Umm..You said uncle and aunt. Ok. Your visa is approved. - THANK YOU! -You are welcome! - (A real smile for the rest of the day) P.S. I remember reading posts like this last year with envy, thinking how it was all behind them. BUT guys, it's really much simpler than you expect. I was told there were two visa denials. One because they had close relatives there (a sister), but I have relatives there too, and the second was poor English, but you'd have to be a complete idiot for that, because the English there is very simple :) US Embassy address in Moscow: Bolshoy Devyatinsky Lane, 8 Moscow 121099, Russian Federation Tel: (495) 728-5000 Terminal map at Kennedy Airport, New York http://anastas-i-a.livejournal.com/16871.html http://maps.yandex.ru/-/CBUQvjQ http://www.panynj.gov/airports/jfk-airport-map.html
