Aviva Stadium occupies the former Lansdowne Road site in Dublin as the primary arena for national rugby and football fixtures.

The venue hosts the Republic of Ireland football team and the Ireland national rugby union squad on the former Lansdowne Road grounds. Redevelopment moved forward after alternate proposals for Stadium Ireland and Eircom Park fell through. The completed structure replaced the demolished historic ground and claimed a British Construction Industry Award.
