Sunsets deserve their own post. While choosing cities, I looked at hundreds of pictures, and the sunsets in San Diego really touched my soul. The palm trees against the pink-purple sky looked fantastic. And there was no turning back. I had to get there by any means necessary. It warmed my heart so much that I found someone who was ready to rush to the other side of the country with me JUST for a sunset!!! We drove to the other coast to a lighthouse, but the road to it turned out to be closed. Artem made me go through the barriers, and I saw something incredible: the ocean in a haze, a gray-green landscape, mystery and mysticism - it was incredibly beautiful. We had already given up hope of seeing that very sunset, but Artem didn't let me give up, and we raced to another point - to a cliff. And there it was. The thing that makes you freeze with delight. The reason you can't stop smiling. The thing that makes you want to love and hug the whole world. Standing in an embrace, we enjoyed how the red-orange sunset dissolved into the clouds to the sound of the waves. We couldn't believe the reality of what was happening. It was a stunning sight that I want to return to. And then there was the sunset in San Francisco. The agonizing road to the Golden Gate paid off in full. Tyoma made me break the rules again and lifted me over the fence. And I realized that it is a crime to keep such beauty under prohibition. The bright Californian sun gifted us an equally bright sunset. Purple waves crashed against the rocks, and the cold wind played in my hair. After something like this, you dream of a house by the ocean. It is the best sedative that nature provides. I will never tire of admiring every new sunset in my life.

Sun, ocean, sunsets. The reason we came here. And as a bonus, we got a bit of Mexican fire. The desire to visit Mexico has only grown, so... There is an atmosphere here befitting a resort: a slow pace of life, smiling people, warm ocean air. Everything is set for you to relax and enjoy yourself. Leaving the airport, I stopped breathing, and tears welled up in my eyes from the beauty and delight. The sun sparkled on the blue surface, dozens of yachts stood in neat rows along the shore, and the trip promised to be wonderful. And it was. I visited several main attractions and walked endlessly. The pearl was Coronado. A small, wonderful, heavenly island. White scorching sand, beautiful houses, and expensive cars. An ideal combination to finally get into the ocean. And neither the cold water nor the off-season could stop me. I want to return here in 2 cases: with a great company for more fun, to fully immerse myself in the bright and hot nightlife to the sounds of Mexican songs. with family, to calmly enjoy the beauty and flavor of the city. Thank you, San Diego. It was warm, delicious, calm, and infinitely picturesque.

Our third stop was the charming city of San Diego. A beautiful, large, yet quiet city with its own stunning beach. Upon arriving at the beach, I was mesmerized by the Pacific Ocean: snow-white sand, crystal-clear water, beautiful wave patterns, and the slightly stinging sea foam. Incredible beauty! I am a bit of a creative person myself; I draw and write poetry, but I hadn't had inspiration for a long time, and honestly, I didn't even have the time to create anything. But this ocean, alive and breathing, yet so calm, simply radiated inspiration to me. I wanted to write, create, and live as easily as the ocean breeze. It was fun riding the waves, eating fresh fruit on the shore, and sunbathing under the warm rays of the sun. After 3 months of working surrounded by mountains, I was craving to see the ocean and the beach. The second day turned out a bit gloomy due to the weather, but we didn't waste any time. We decided to walk around the city, buy some souvenirs to take home, and visit famous spots. When there was nothing left to do, and after checking the weather forecast and realizing the sun wouldn't come out for another week, we decided to head back to Los Angeles. With a car, a two-hour drive seemed like nothing to us. Especially since we had unfinished business in Los Angeles, like visiting the Hollywood sign and swimming at Santa Monica beach. Santa Monica is a heavenly oasis in a huge metropolis. The palm trees, the beach itself, the restaurants, and the small park by the shore made it incredibly attractive. Of course, the ocean here wasn't as clean as in San Diego, but there was more entertainment around. I fell in love with the ocean all over again; it drew my attention like a magnet, and against its backdrop, a beautiful sunset appeared, shimmering in all shades of red. This idyll and peace of mind spread through every cell of my body until the next day. The last day in LA, and in California in general. How can one spend this day? Of course, by visiting the city's symbol - the mountain with the Hollywood sign. Even if it's just a regular mountain with a sign, you still feel some kind of power or energy. The whole world has made a cult out of this mountain, so being there in person makes you feel different. "This is that very mountain I've seen in various movies, and I'm standing right in front of it, looking at these letters, and I can't believe I'm actually here."

Many of us have watched "Home Alone," "The Wolf of Wall Street," "Iron Man," "Supernatural," "Gossip Girl," "Suits," and much more. And I think everyone has dreamed at some point of ice skating in Central Park, working in an elegant office on the 95th floor of a prestigious skyscraper with an ocean view, or watching the sunset on a beach somewhere in San Diego. But America always seemed like a beautiful and unattainable goal. It was inconceivable that an ordinary girl from the suburbs of Saint Petersburg could go travel around the America she saw in movies and TV shows. But then... 2015. I find out that my classmates are going to the States to WORK. How? HOW? Envy and delight. Confusion and admiration. Maybe it's not as complicated as it seemed? 2016. History repeats itself. I learn more details and find out about Work and Travel. But after stories about searching for job offers, memorizing rules, problems with meeting people in the States, and language requirements, everything becomes impossible again. June 25, 2016. A friend leaves for the USA on a tourist visa. I lived through her tears, panic, and uncertainty. Joy, delight, dreams of returning. And that's where my story begins. My friend gave me a good "kick." She was the first person who almost forced me to try and take a risk. Who believed that everything would definitely work out, that I wouldn't regret it and would return a completely different person. And that's exactly what happened... Thus begins an 8-month journey to a cherished dream. Everything went smoothly (almost). I quickly found employers, housing, and sponsors. As soon as the job offer was confirmed, I sent documents to Lithuania to get a loan. And finally, the money was transferred, the documents were in hand, and it was time to book an interview. Going to the visa center turned out to be an epic saga. For the interview, I had to know the answer to about 120 questions, give or take. Questions about your life, travels, family, hobbies, studies, and so on. I was very nervous. Although, when the first wave went, everyone wrote that there was no need to worry, everything would be fine. And then it was my turn. I will never forget that day. April 19. The interview was scheduled for 11:35. I left home around 9. I thought, well, 2.5 hours should definitely be enough for me. But no. I was stuck in traffic on Moskovskoye Highway for about an hour. Then something happened that I didn't expect at all - a traffic jam in the subway. We were traveling about 10 minutes from one station to another. I started to panic because I realized I wasn't going to make it. I wrote to my brother to find out what was happening. He said they found a bag at Sennaya and it was taking a very long time. It took me about 20 minutes to get from Kupchino to Moskovskaya. My brother told me to fly out of the subway and get into a taxi. He called a taxi, I ran out of the subway and rushed across the entire square. I was shaking, tears were welling up, and panic was overwhelming me. 20 minutes until the interview, and it's about a 30-40 minute drive. People were calming me down, tears were already streaming down my face, and I started to come to terms with the thought that this was it, the end. I was at the consulate at 11:40. I ran up to the door and was told I had to wait. A weight lifted off my shoulders. And so I entered the consulate. The first security checkpoint. A very kind man who encouraged me and helped me relax a little, he checked my things and let me through. The man at the second stage was less friendly. I started shaking again, they searched my whole bag and picked on my pencil case. The final queue for the interview. I saw more and more people being rejected, and I started to get nervous. Shortly before me, the young and cheerful consuls were replaced, and everyone was already tense. There were two consuls: a man and a woman. The woman was more welcoming, the man was gloomy. Naturally, everyone wanted to get to the lady. BUT they
