À propos du lieu

Takashimaya operates major department stores across Japan, anchored by its commercial complex in southern Osaka.

The business originated as a merchant shop selling formal kimono before expanding into a nationwide department store network. Its Namba building in Osaka became a central commercial hub, surviving wartime destruction to coordinate distribution during the postwar occupation. Today the location functions as a full-scale retail anchor, providing household flatware, apparel, and electronics to the surrounding urban district.
