Sobre el lugar

The site marks the former administrative core of the Nazi regime.

The mansion originally stood as Palais Barlow, an aristocratic residence designed in neoclassical style by Jean Baptiste Métivier for Karl Freiherr von Lotzbeck. Elizabeth Stefanie Barlow sold the property to party treasurer Franz Xaver Schwarz, with renovation funds supplied by industrialist Fritz Thyssen. Architect Paul Troost transformed the villa into administrative offices.

Party leaders including Adolf Hitler, Joseph Goebbels, Hermann Göring, and Heinrich Himmler operated dedicated workspaces inside the compound. The complex held the symbolic blood banner from the failed putsch, while basement facilities included both a restaurant and detention areas where authorities interrogated suspects. Allied bombing raids completely demolished the structure during the war.
