Sobre el lugar

A preserved medieval repository of sacred community records anchors historic Fustat.

Historical papers deposited in the elevated silo include rabbinical treatises, poetry, and civic legal records.

Physician and philosopher Maimonides settled within walking distance of the compound, leading the regional Jewish community and leaving personal manuscripts preserved in the archive.
