Über den Ort

The hospital operates as the sole Christian medical facility in the Gaza Strip under Anglican diocesan management.

Established under the Ottoman Empire as an Anglican church mission, the compound transitioned through Baptist management before returning to the Anglican Diocese of Jerusalem. International church charities help sustain regular outpatient care, specialized radiological diagnostics, and surgical units despite regional blockades.

Prolonged armed conflict transformed the compound into a high-intensity frontline trauma centre functioning entirely on emergency solar power. Military strikes have damaged critical diagnostic facilities and the emergency ward, forcing staff to navigate supply blockades, power shortages, and forced patient evacuations.
