Architectural firm Sadar and Vuga designed the arena as a submerged concrete bowl within the wider Stožice Sports Park. Set inside the northern Bežigrad district, the venue shares its grounds with an indoor arena while keeping spectator seating beneath the surrounding field level. Only the monolithic crater of the stand roof rises above the plateau, integrating the sprawling athletic facility into the local park landscape.
