内罗毕国家公园: 周边有什么、如何前往、何时最合适 · 2026年
Long-term residents watch herds move against the city skyline, but keeping livestock and urban sprawl away from the unfenced southern border remains an ongoing struggle.
关于此地
Fenced boundaries secure wildlife directly against expanding urban high-rises.
The park borders the capital as the country's foundational national reserve, created after pastoral communities were displaced from traditional grazing lands. Perimeter fencing encloses most boundaries while an open southern border allows migrating herbivores to pass toward adjoining plains during dry weather. Populations of rhinoceros thrive within the habitat alongside predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

Urban encroachment, expanding livestock herds, and illegal poaching place continuous strain on the ecosystem. The grounds feature educational facilities, an animal orphanage, and a walking boardwalk designed to showcase regional flora and fauna to visiting students. A dedicated monument commemorates historic ivory stockpiles burned by the state to combat wildlife trafficking, while overhead flight corridors share the airspace.
