Earthen construction forms the entire structural fabric, requiring continuous community upkeep to withstand regional weather.

The complex was established by the Mossi chief Patyringomie following migrations from the Loumbila area. A defining feature of the adobe buildings is the elaborate geometric wall painting, executed exclusively by local women who renew the decorative patterns by hand.
