Про місце

Wilshire Grand Center anchors the Financial District as the western skyline's tallest commercial tower.

Wilshire Grand Center occupies an entire city block bounded by Wilshire Boulevard, Figueroa Street, and Francisco Street. The tower stands as the tallest architectural structure in the country west of Chicago, surpassing the nearby U.S. Bank Tower and San Francisco's Salesforce Tower through its crowning spire. While those rival high-rises retain higher standard roof levels, this downtown mast secures top regional rank.

The location previously supported a landmark mid-century hospitality complex known sequentially as the Hotel Statler, the Los Angeles Hilton, and the Wilshire Grand Hotel. That predecessor hosted premier civic gatherings, including the Emmy Awards, before complete demolition cleared the subterranean footprint. Hanjin Group and Korean Air spearheaded the modern redevelopment to revitalize the Figueroa Street corridor.
