Mandalay Bay anchors the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip as a major resort and convention venue.

Mandalay Bay occupies the former grounds of the demolished Hacienda hotel. Circus Circus Enterprises developed the complex as an upscale resort under the working title Project Paradise, drawing inspiration from Rudyard Kipling's poetry. Operating as a major resort and casino, it sits in Paradise under management by MGM Resorts International.
