Про місце

The sanctuary represents early Ayyubid religious architecture in Damascus and carries the alternate designation of Muzaffari Mosque. The compound developed into a focal point for the regional Hanbali community, providing space for daily prayer, theological assembly, and neighborhood congregation throughout multiple centuries.

Abu Umar Muhammad bin Qudama al-Muqaddasi founded the institution to serve local worshipers. Financial backing from al-Malik al-Muzaffar Gokburi enabled the completion of the main structure and its distinctive minaret.
