Про місце

The airfield functions as the sole aviation hub for the entire territory.

The island relies on this single airfield for all scheduled international transport. Nauru Airlines maintains its corporate headquarters at the terminal and operates routes connecting the community to regional destinations. The runway borders the civic core in the Yaren district, placing incoming flights within walking distance of the Parliament House, the local police station, and the district secondary school.

The facility originated as a wartime airstrip constructed under Japanese military occupation before transitioning into civilian service. Today, the complex houses the Republic of Nauru Civil Aviation Authority for operational security alongside the Directorate of Immigration and the Customs Service. These departments process all inbound personnel directly beside the main passenger gate.
