The venue hosts ACF Fiorentina football matches and gathers fans across Florence. Residents and local supporters historically referred to the grounds by the nickname Comunale. The concrete structure defines the surrounding district, bringing high matchday activity and concentrated pedestrian movement to an otherwise residential neighbourhood.
