Sobre o local

Peace Bridge anchors cross-river movement between the central districts of Wrocław.

The bridge stands as a major river crossing in Wrocław, designed by the academic engineer professor Jan Kmita. The structure carries commuters directly across the water barrier, functioning as a primary civil engineering project from the post-war building era. Its continuous span over the river channel serves as an essential arterial route for municipal traffic moving through the urban core.

Urban records originally registered the crossing as Voivodeship Bridge before municipal authorities formally renamed it Peace Bridge in the subsequent decade. Long-term residents encounter the historical designation in regional planning archives and older administrative documentation. Navigating the surrounding network requires recognizing both historical names, as older reference materials continue to cite the original title.
