Las Vegas, Nevada

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas Vegas is one of the most popular cities, attracting adventurers and party lovers from all over the world into its web! As bright representatives of such people, we couldn't miss this place of temptation! It was very interesting to watch out the window while flying into the city! Yellow deserts were replaced by various red gorges! And then, in the middle of the sandy hills, small squares of identical houses with pools began to appear.. Then suddenly, one big strip with huge hotels of different shapes, we even spotted our booked hotel—the Stratosphere! Yay!!!! We are in Vegas!!! We arrived in the heat of the day.. Right inside the airport building, there were areas with slot machines for the most impatient and the long-awaited sign: "Welcome to Las Vegas")) Looking at the scorching sun outside the window, we decided to sleep a little at the airport to recharge (we had been lacking energy lately!) So 3 hours passed unnoticed... We left as little clothing on as possible, had a snack, and hit the road!!!)))) We took a bus to the main street, the Strip... Wow!!! The first thought—why did we only allocate 2 days for this wonderful city!!! Sprawling palm trees, luxurious hotels, each of them looking like some city or country of the world! We urgently needed to get rid of our heavy backpacks. We only booked the hotel for the second night, because it would have been illogical to sleep the first night in Las Vegas! Without thinking twice, we went into the first hotel, where a kind gentleman allowed us to leave our things in the luggage room for free! Entry to all hotels was free; you could wander there for hours, looking at the decorations and various entertainment! We visited the Egypt hotel in the shape of a pyramid with a huge statue of a pharaoh at the head, took a tram to the next hotel.. and for some reason, we really wanted to rest somewhere! Or rather, it's clear why: we hadn't slept much in the last 24 hours, the unbearable heat, and on top of all that, I got a little sick, my temperature rose.. We went into a hotel that looked like a fairy-tale castle, and there it was—our salvation, this is what we were looking for—a small outdoor pool, Yay!!! Naturally, everything was free, they even gave us a towel, and we had prudently brought our swimsuits with us) We swam and slept on the sun loungers until sunset) Later, I had to pull myself together, popping pills for all cold ailments, and go meet adventures! With the onset of evening in Vegas, millions of lights turn on, the main street fills with millions of tourists, and millions of dollars are spun in the casinos! We wanted to walk around and see everything! But by morning we had to be near our hotel, the Stratosphere, as the bus to the Grand Canyon was leaving from there at 6 o'clock! We decided to walk down the street and go everywhere, thinking we would walk through quickly and then party somewhere later) As luck would have it, in the first hotel, the sole of my flip-flop tore off, so I had to look for new ones in the shops almost barefoot) Then we finally saw all the most interesting things: New York-New York with the Statue of Liberty, Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge, the Paris Eiffel Tower, the bridges of Venice, Rome, Monte Carlo, Sahara... We enjoyed the unique singing fountains, which, catching subtle musical transitions, performed extraordinary tricks, as if they were alive) By the way, the prices for rooms in hotels are very low; our room with two large beds and necessary amenities at the Stratosphere hotel cost $30. Perhaps such cheap accommodation is so that tourists can stay in Vegas as long as possible and lose everything in the casino! And if you are vacationing with a group, you can fit four people into this room quite comfortably, then the price will seem ridiculous! In one internet cafe, we met a Russian guy who kindly gave us the internet for 5 minutes to print tickets for an excursion) -What is your name?... -Or.. (something inc

Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas, Nevada Las Vegas, the city of sin in the middle of the desert and mountains. One main street, the Strip, where all the major hotels are located—replicas of famous world cities. A hotel with Egyptian pyramids, the Eiffel Tower, Venice, something Greek, New York-New York, Monte Carlo, and dozens of others. What I remember most are the dancing fountains near the Bellagio hotel. Unrealistically high and different every 15 or 30 minutes. When you watch the water, it seems like you are truly seeing a dance of living people. It's indescribable! The best shows in the world are here. When you arrive in Vegas, everything seems amazing: the hotels are luxurious, the streets are lively, the restaurants are cheap, palm trees, tourists, heat. During the day, only those who have just arrived walk the streets. Everyone else is sleeping off last night's drinking in their cozy, air-conditioned rooms until evening, only to emerge at night. Everything here is built so that you can't walk down the street straight, let alone cross it, without going inside some casino. And in general, a hotel here is much more than just a place to sleep. Since it's hot year-round, everything is indoors. On the ground floors are casinos, restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops, clubs, pools, concert halls, bars, and above that are the rooms. In short, by walking the Strip from north to south, you end up in almost all the famous casinos and hotels in the city, even if you didn't plan to :) It's easy to find cheap accommodation here. A room that we paid $100 a night for in Los Angeles, and even more in San Francisco, we rented in Vegas for $30. Prices in bars are much lower than in Manhattan. In short, everything is done so that the tourist is satisfied, fed, and drunk, and leaves all their money in the casino. "When leaving Vegas, no one should have more than 10 dollars in their pocket" is the motto of this city: What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!!! To be honest, you get tired of all this pretty quickly. By morning, the tourists go to sleep, and only lonely elderly ladies sit at the slot machines. Every day is the same; the hellish money-sucking machine never stops working, neither on weekdays nor on holidays. Bands with pomaded 70s-style hairstyles play in the bars, and Elvis Presleys wander the streets. Groundhog Day in a 24-hour format. There is no real life here. It's a fake city, a myth, a mirage, it's the bubbling melody of a slot machine that you can't beat. There are no parks here, you don't see local residents, there's nothing to do here for longer than a couple of days. It's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. But evening comes, and you go to a bar again, and think about how much fun you're having in this city today. This is Sin City, try to escape.
