Sobre o local

The central plaza anchors urban transit and pedestrian movement across the city centre.

The square has functioned as the primary municipal gathering point since early settlement times. Medieval tournaments and grain markets initially occupied the open space under historical names such as Markth and Schrannenplatz. When grain trading relocated to a covered hall near Blumenstrasse, the site took its modern name and transformed into a dedicated municipal plaza.
