Sobre o local

A rotating pedestrian bridge connects the redeveloped waterfront docks to the central district.

The footbridge spans the Puerto Madero basin as an asymmetrical cantilever spar cable structure. Alberto L. Gonzalez funded the initiative after an advertising analysis by Jorge Heymann showed that physical passage across the water was more urgent than promotional campaigns. Basque fabricator Urssa manufactured the steel components in northern Spain before assembly on the waterfront.

A single slanted pylon suspends the main walkway with cables, allowing the mobile segment to swing clear of the channel until it rests against a stabilizing pylon. The municipal administration designated the span as official Cultural Heritage. Recent deck restorations replaced the older walking surface with composite planks manufactured from recycled plastic bottles gathered at municipal collection points.
