My choice is Work and Travel

E.B. Yergaliuly 4th-year student Kazakh Academy of Sport and Tourism Faculty of Professional Combat Sports I will talk about the Work and Travel program. The Work and Travel program is an opportunity for students to travel, work, learn new things, visit popular places, and discover US culture over 3 months. There will be an interview with a US consular officer in March or May. During the interview, you must prove that you will return to Kazakhstan. Many students stay behind through this program. All you need to do is take a vacation in the US, having fully paid for the program. I will explain the main points: after paying for the program and the interview, to increase your chances of not being rejected, you need to learn English. Participation in the program is available to every student who has reached 18 years of age. This program is a great opportunity for me; thanks to this progress, I can fulfill my dream. I have always dreamed of becoming a professional boxer. America is the homeland of professional boxers. There are strong boxers, and professional boxing athletes can be found in the USA. I am learning new things and improving my English by participating in this process, which has a huge impact on my future career. Because I can learn a new type of profession there. For me, it is a victory if I start my own business in Kazakhstan. Thanks to this program, I am achieving great success. First, I am studying and improving my English. I will go to the USA, which is a great opportunity for me coming from a village. I worked hard, and then I became. Or I can learn one type of profession and open my own. I think that a new environment and a new culture change me into a new person. If I were the head of the student exchange center, I would offer many discounts to students in the program and organize various games. The cities I want to visit in the USA are New York and Los Angeles. When I was a 3rd-year student, I tried to apply for the program, but I couldn't pass because my English was poor and I was insecure. So now I am a 4th-year student at the Academy of Sport and Tourism. Now, this year, I have returned to the program. I think everything will be different this year. Let me tell you about my favorite boxer, Manny Pacquiao. Manny Pacquiao trained at the Wild Card Boxing Club. The legendary trainer Freddie Roach prepared and brought up many champions. Among them are Amir Khan, Bernard Hopkins, Miguel Cotto, Mickey Rourke, Oscar De La Hoya, Wladimir Klitschko, and Manny Pacquiao. A coach who prepared and developed professional boxing stars. Brief biography of Freddie Roach He worked as an assistant to Eddie Futch for several years. Currently, Roach has his own gym, the Wild Card Boxing Club in Los Angeles, where he works with his brother Pepper. Throughout his career, Roach has worked with many outstanding athletes. He achieved his greatest success with the Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao. In his time, he was a professional boxer. Freddie Roach suffers from Parkinson's disease, the same disease that the famous Muhammad Ali suffers from. Now I will return to my favorite boxer, Manny Pacquiao, a Filipino boxer and world champion in 8 weight classes. He is not just a champion, but a person who has done many good deeds, building many houses in his country. When he boxed, crime cases in the Philippines stopped, and the citizens of his country called it the "Pacquiao Effect." My favorite athlete is this boxer. I want to visit this Wild Card gym located in Los Angeles. In this gym, our Kazakh boxers train: Aidar Sharibayev, Aidos Yerossynovich, and there are several other Kazakh amateur boxers who have visited the USA. I want to take a photo to see this gym with my own eyes. UFC fighters like Tony Ferguson train here. This is a famous boxing gym. Places I want to see in the USA are the Rocky Mountains monument, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and in general, I want to visit these popular places. Conclusion: The Work and Travel program gives

A look back at the beginning.

Good afternoon! Without further ado (which were described in the annotation), I want to immerse you in an extraordinary story from my life. From early childhood, I dreamed of traveling the whole world, seeing an infinite number of places, taking unimaginable photos, and admiring the night starry sky from different points of our planet. At 14, my plans included buying a motorhome and working as a freelancer, which was becoming trendy at the time. Realizing these plans would have given me the wind of freedom and the scent of financial independence. It would seem, what more could one wish for? However, after analyzing life on the road and getting a beloved dog, the purchase of a motorhome had to be postponed indefinitely. I couldn't even let the thought of betraying my dream cross my mind! But traveling on last-minute deals, tours, and all-inclusive hotels didn't give me the effect I needed so much. Guided tours are, of course, good, but it's even better when you are able to choose where to go or drive yourself, without relying on a schedule or tight trip deadlines. Moreover, as a true fan of heavy music, it's hard for me to even imagine that while being in a country of wonderful rock festivals, I wouldn't be able to attend them. Things are quite difficult with internships from my university: for all two and a half years of study at this institution (which is exactly half the duration of my university studies), there was simply no opportunity to go to another country through the university! That is why my choice fell on Work and Travel USA. But I would be lying if I started telling you how great I am for deciding everything myself. In fact, everything happened roughly as follows.

Work and Travel USA story

CHAPTER 1. «Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire» © Jennifer Lee When people meet, they start with simple questions like "Where do you live?" or "Where do you study?", then they learn about your beliefs and more personal things. Perhaps I will follow this familiar pattern and start by saying that I was born and live in Saint Petersburg and am studying business informatics at the ITMO technical university. This is a fairly new field, and in my city there were only three good universities offering a degree in this program, but that didn't stop me. For me, it has always been important to choose a place where you can learn a lot. Business informatics combines the foundations of innovative economics, statistical analysis, mathematics, data analysis, intellectual property law, and much more. In this program, one can broaden their horizons and understand what kind of professional path I want to start. I am convinced that a trip to America will help me see economic giants from the inside, as all the world's largest IT companies are located in the USA. One of the points of my grand journey will certainly be Silicon Valley, where you can see the offices of Google and Facebook in person. Tours of these places will provide an incredible stimulus for internal and professional development, and perhaps one day I will be able to work there. Studying the internal structure of the world's most powerful economy is a career impulse and an opportunity for professional growth in the future. CHAPTER 2. «Chasin' this American Dream» © X Ambassadors I love to travel and am very grateful to my parents, who gave me such a fantastic opportunity to see the world. They always, even in the most difficult times, make travel a priority. Once they said: "Travel is not cheap for us, we spend a lot, but we get much more in return." This phrase stuck in my head and became a guiding light for me. In my short life, I have visited almost all the countries of Europe and a few places in Asia, and I think it's time to open new horizons, or rather, new parts of the world. A trip to the USA, to the "land of the free and home of the brave," has always been a cherished dream for me. I have grown up and am ready to start my first solo trip. I have heard a lot about exchange programs, but unfortunately, due to my age, I have not yet participated in them. The stories of my sister, who also participated in the Work and Travel USA program and a semester exchange in Germany, amazed and inspired me. I realized that in student years, you cannot miss a single opportunity; you need to participate in all programs, because they allow you to travel the whole world, meet such bright students, and get impressions that will remain forever. I think that a trip via Work and Travel USA will be the most youthful journey possible, because I have already found fellow travelers and like-minded people who will share the whole path with me – from getting a J-1 Visa to realizing the American dream, and I expect to meet many more. The Work and Travel USA program will help me develop important soft skills; besides, a trip to the USA is a personal challenge. I want to test myself by living alone in a foreign country for several months, earning my own money for self-sufficiency. I believe that by participating in this program, I will prove that everything is possible. I want to end the chapter with an excerpt from an Alicia Keys song, which for me describes not only the city, but the whole country: Concrete jungle where dreams are made of There's nothing you can't do Now you're in New York These streets will make you feel brand new Big lights will inspire you Hear it for New York CHAPTER 3. «Salut au monde! What cities the light or warmth penetrates I penetrate those cities myself, All islands to which birds wing their way I wing my way myself.» © Walt Whitman Work and Travel USA is an opportunity to open the door of my country to others. Perhaps after this, we will be able to be l

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32. #test #тест

Through thorns to the stars

A little girl in front of you lives in a rural village in Kazakhstan, dreaming of walking by the sea and see the World. There were frequent talks in her family of teachers about their child's future. The girl understood she had to work hard and wished only one thing – to get to a better school. She was accepted, but her parents could not let her go far from home. A year passed by, yet hope never waned, the fire in her eyes so bright. In 9th grade, she took an Olympiad, “iQanat.” The process went smoothly, yet none of the competitors knew what came after it. In August, selection began, and she won an invitation to the prestigious school. Forty-five thousand children took part, and she was one of the just two hundred accepted. She runs to her parents to announce her victory and say that she is going to Borovoe – the pearl of Kazakhstan, a fantastic mountain land harboring mysterious wonders. Her parents were proud and happy, but they still could not let go. The girl quietly packs up her most precious belongings from her room. When her parents leave, she calls a taxi and goes on her life's greatest adventure thus far. Despite the lack of permission, she went to build her bright future and develop her true self. After her arrival, she faced many challenges. She learned to make it by herself through perseverance, making her who she is now: a caring friend, a daughter to be proud of, and a role model for all the other students of this Gifted and Talented School. She found her place in academic development and an outlet for her creative arts – theatrical, prose, poetry, and music. She became a volunteer at the iQanat Olympiads and an organizer of many events like “Movie Fest ” and the “Model UN.” These events shaped her leadership skills. Then, she was an intern of “The Teachers’ Lab” – a teaching professionals' website resource aimed at collating and sharing educational materials and ideas. It helped her to understand the nuances of this deeply complicated system. now, after graduating from school, she is studying at the Karaganda University named after Buketov in the first year. Programs such as Work and Travel will help to give hope and light a fire inside us. This girl, having learned this program, realized that she should not give up and she is sincerely grateful to such people who help young people see the world and gain experience. This girl is chasing a dream and building her bright future. A degree in Work and Travel program solves this problem because it allows students to develop analytical skills and be critical of the media. I want to discover the world stage from the United States. The country is rich in cultural and historical heritage, but at the same time it confidently keeps pace with modern changes. Using this experience gained in America, this girl will in the future work at the IQanat Foundation, where she once studied, and will encourage others to be more productive and responsible citizens of the world. Through thorns to the stars.
