Sporting Charleroi plays football at this urban ground.

The ground stands in the urban core as the regular match venue for Sporting Charleroi. Workers rebuilt the facility to host fixtures for the continental championship jointly organized by Belgium and the Netherlands. The structure replaced an older arena previously called Mambourg. An inaugural match against Metz marked the official renaming before thousands of local supporters who filled the newly constructed terraces.

Following international tournament use, authorities downsized the seating sections to match normal domestic attendance figures. Crews added roofing over several grandstands and adjusted the seating layout to ensure compliance with European competition rules. Sporting Charleroi now prepares to move to a future stadium on the outskirts of the city, making the long-term status of this central venue uncertain for the surrounding neighbourhood.
