A colossus beneath the highway bridge anchors the neighbourhood's public life.

The Fremont Arts Council initiated the sculpture project under the bridge to transform an neglected spot into permanent public art. What began as a contest design evolved into a defining neighbourhood symbol, eventually inspiring the renaming of the adjacent street down to North Street in honour of the monumental figure.

Residents who stay for months learn that the site remains an active urban crossroads rather than an isolated monument.
