Güvenpark stands at the center of Ankara as a protected green zone shaped by early republican urban planning.

Architect Hermann Jansen incorporated the park into the master urban design of the capital to provide continuous green belts for residents. The site was planned strictly for pedestrians and cyclists alongside the central administrative district. The prominent Security Monument stands within the grounds as a core landmark.
