Senoko Power Station generates a major share of Singapore electricity from the northern industrial coastline.

The complex operates as the largest electricity generating facility in Singapore, situated along the industrial waterfront in Sembawang. Originally developed by the Public Utilities Board, the plant transitioned from open-cycle gas turbines into the nation's earliest combined-cycle installation. Ownership rests with Senoko Energy under Lion Power Holdings, an international consortium led by Marubeni Corporation.

A critical submarine transmission cable links the plant directly across the international border to Sultan Iskandar Power Station in Johor. This mutual assistance pact enables Singapore and Malaysia to transfer power during regional grid failures. Across the northern channel, the standing concrete chimney ranks among the island's tallest structures, remaining clearly visible to residents across the strait in Johor Bahru.
