Estadio Francisco Montaner anchors professional sports in the southern municipality as the long-standing home of local baseball and association football clubs.

The venue accommodates baseball and association football fixtures, serving as the regular home ground for Leones de Ponce and FC Leones. Named in honour of the distinguished Puerto Rican pitcher Francisco Montaner, the municipal complex introduced an artificial playing surface to the island and sits beside the Juan Pachin Vicens Auditorium.
