Monumental neoclassical architecture frames contemporary art exhibitions at the park edge.

The museum operates inside a monumental neoclassical structure commissioned by Adolf Hitler and planned by architect Paul Troost under the name Haus der deutschen Kunst. Built as a prominent state project, the building now functions as Munich's exhibition hall for modern and contemporary art.
