Tsirio Stadium anchors municipal athletics in Limassol following decades of premier football matches.

The venue took the family name of businessman Petros I. Tsiros after his philanthropy funded construction to replace the aging GSO Stadium. The all-seater municipal bowl hosted the Cyprus national football squad, domestic cup deciders, and continental youth championship fixtures matching Spain against Portugal and Germany against Italy.
